Slovenian Theatre Institute is the only national theatre museum, dedicated to preserving Slovenian theatre culture. At its premises, one can see our permanent exhibition that presents the development of Slovenian theatre from its beginnings in the 16th Century up to the beginning of the 20th Century. Apart from that, we present a number of temporary exhibitions on different aspects of Slovene theatre history. A quick step into the history of the theatre for all theatre enthusiasts in the heart of the old town.
